Arizona LakesDid you know that there's only one natural lake in Arizona? It's true. There are lots of lakes in the Sunshine State but almost all of them are man-made lakes. There are approximately 31 lakes in Arizona, and all of them have something to offer for all you fun-loving types interested in Lake Trash Living.

Despite the lack of natural lakes in Arizona, the ones that have been created offer a range of activities and many different types of fishing for you angler types. For instance Alamo Lake, located 120 miles northwest of Phoenix, offers some of the best Bass fishing in the state. The great thing about Alamo Lake, like all of these lakes is all of the fun activities that they offer that you can share with your friends. Seriously, you may hate fishing, but if you like hanging out with like-minded people, then you can just take your boat out with a cooler full of beer and food and just hang with your buds, or cruise around the lake, making new friends.

Of course, one of the coolest places in the state to hang out and party with your friends is Lake Havasu, which is probably the most popular lake for these kinds of activities in the entire state. This well-established recreational area is like Lake Trash heaven, boasting every possible amenity for tourists, boaters and fishermen.

If you're not in the mood to go out on the water in your powerboat or flat-bottomed party boat, then you can hang out in one of the waterfront bars, knocking back a few cold ones with your buddies. Just remember that if you drink too much, don't take your boat out. It's not safe for you or your passengers, plus you could get arrested.

Part of the art of having a good Lake Trash time on any lake is avoiding getting hassled by the authorities. And the forces of Law ‘n Order have been cracking down on drunken Arizona boaters of late, so imbibe carefully and always have a designated boater or driver for the trip home.

But anyway, back to Lake Havasu. In addition to all the fun you can have on the lake and the surrounding beaches, bars and restaurants, it's the home to the fabled London Bridge, one of the most interesting tourist attractions in the entire state, and well worth a visit for its own sake. Going there with your boat and your RV could help you forge a lot of fun memories with your family and friends, and isn't fun and friendship what the whole Lake Trash experience is all about?
