Have Fun in the Sun in Lake Havasu City This Summer |

Going to a Lake Havasu party in the summer on the lake typically involves bringing your bathing suit, lots of sunscreen, bottled water, and beer. The summers in Lake Havasu City are dreadfully hot, but there is such relief in being on the lake in the summer. The place is renowned for its great boating and beautiful scenery, and being out in the heat on the lake is pretty easy to take. However, people need to take lots of precautions about getting overheated or dehydrated, both real dangers in this desert climate. Nothing is more fun than being in the hot sun (and I do mean hot), and jumping in a cool lake. Desert lakes are usually pretty deep, so they don't warm all that much. The water temperature won't be much over 80, if that, so the contrast between the 115 air temperature and the lake water will be vivid once you jump into the lake. But it's a refreshing way to spend the afternoon in Lake Havasu City. In fact, it may be the only way to be outside in the scorching heat of Lake Havasu City. |
