Even though June home sales of Lake Havasu real estate are down 22% from a year ago, investing in Lake Havasu real estate just might be a better investment than you think. Despite the apparent bad news in the Lake Havasu real estate picture, things may not be quite as bleak as they appear. One sign that the Lake Havasu real estate picture is improving is the fact that while the number of properties being listed is not going down, it's not increasing either. That's an important thing to consider because it indicates that there aren't a lot of foreclosed, bank-owned properties hitting the market right now. And even though the price of Lake Havasu real estate properties has dropped 25% that may mean that those properties were overvalued and the current price is more of an indicator of what they are really worth. I'm positive that buying Lake Havasu real estate is still a good idea because the real estate market is cyclical. Prices go up, prices go down, but a resort location like Lake Havasu will still be valuable because even in bad times, people need somewhere to go for recreation and a chance to get away from their troubles.
