Just ask any college student and he or she will tell you that many of their friends, if not they as well, are planning to go to a Lake Havasu party to enjoy their spring break. In fact, hundreds upon thousands of college students choose to go to a Lake Havasu party to enjoy their spring breaks every year—making it one of the most popular spring break destinations for college students around the world. When it comes to sports like fishing or boating, lake Havasu is great. However, there are better and less frequented and much larger lakes nearby, such as Lake Powell, that play host to some word-class fishing and boating and are far more secluded. So, this leads me to the all-appropriate question: why do people choose a Lake Havasu party over other destinations on their spring break?
Here are some things to consider about the factors surrounding a lake Havasu party and the goers that can really shed some light on this question—and indeed make it seem more obvious as to why people choose to do their partying here. First of all, Havasu City is a click away—and there is plenty of shopping, nightclubs and upscale eateries to suffice even the pickiest of persons. Secondly, the place is trendy; very trendy. Most college students are going to want to go with their friends somewhere—or where they can find other people of the same age group and social status to blend in with and hang out. Typically many college students end up at a Lake Havasu party or somewhere in Cancun—viva la Mexico.
Aside from the neighboring Havasu City and all of its shopping and social apparatus, a Havasu lake party has a lot to offer students. Many production companies set up live shows and beer tents, charging a one-time fee for unlimited well drinks and food, and providing live music to listen to or dance to. There are four very nearby nightclubs; some that even throw beach-parties during spring break. There are also plenty of activities. You can go boating, fishing, hiking, diving, camping, body-boarding, jet-skiing, clubbing, and much more.
So it is no wonder why a Lake Havasu party attracts—quite literally—boatloads of college students each and every single year. But one is left to wonder about the other places that you could also go. Sure a Lake Havasu party might be a totally wicked experience. But I find it surprising you do not see many other college spring break hotspots. I guess there is really only one final factor that can really determine why a Lake Havasu party is such an obvious choice for college students during spring break time, Price. And let’s not forget that unlike Cancun, Lake Havasu is domestic.
